Anime for Fun and Profit
Fortune.com has recently published an article about the rise of anime in the states over the last few years. It’s quite a comprehensive article.
Interestingy,
Once the Weta-ADV partnership hit the news, the company’s in-box started overflowing. “We get a lot of e-mails, a lot of letters from people around the world about Lord of the Rings. But we get 25 e-mails about Evangelion to every one we get about Lord of the Rings,” says Taylor. “And Evangelion has not even been made yet: It’s just a whisper in the corridors of ADV, and it’s a suggestion in the hallways of Weta.”

Whatever it is, I still have not much hope for the EVA movie. I’ve seen some concept art, and safe to say it’s on par with your DOA Live Action post, on blindness-causing that is.

Anyone knows who’s going to direct it? and more importantly who’s the script writer for this movie?
off topic: anyone have any problem accessing tokyotoshokan? got error message that site cannot be found. Dns problems or more insidious plot.

Bless WETA, I am going to burn it if Evangelion turns out to be what I seen so far.

I hope it’s good but i really don’t have any expectations since it’s based on an anime…could it be worse than an adaption on a game? :D
