Da Capo II Promo Video
Da Capo II promo video is out! Go download it now dammit!
The first half of the video is just scenes from the original game, but the second half is where all the Good Stuff ™ are. The new OP by yozuca* is good, but I can’t seem to locate the song title. If I have to take a guess at the title, I’d say “Kirari Sakura Yuki no Mau” since that is the first line of the chorus. Translations and screenshots of the promo video after the jump.
Part 1 (the song played for the first part is just the original D.C. OP, “Da Capo ~dai 2 botan no chikai~“)
Dear Oniichan,
A lot of things have happened.
It has been a long, and yet short, time and it overwhelms me with many emotions to think about it.
But one thing is for certain,
I had a lot of fun after meeting everyone.
Hehe, this feels a little embarrassing.
Thank you.
Now I have to leave for America……
This is goodbye, Oniichan.
–I’ve always loved you
Though we can’t be together anymore,
Oniichan, you will be alright.
Live happily with Nemu, okay?
It’s a promise.
I’ll definitely return
When I do, please be the same gentle Oniichan, okay?

Part 2 (there’s no onscreen text, so I translated the new OP)
Original

English
I send my feelings to the snow dancing gracefully around the flowers and the sakura tree.
The sakura blossom, a flake of snow, they brought a smile to your face.Under the tree we pledged ourselves to each other, we make this dream last forever.
It was in this same season that the two of us first met.
On that day, at that place, our hearts beat with happiness once again. The sparkling sakura and the dance of snowflakes, wrap them with love
And the feelings of affection will shine brightly.
The sparkling sakura and the dance of snowflakes, for our precious tomorrow,
I will walk with you for ever, straight into this entwining story.
P.S. Yes, I did finally preorder the game. 9800yen + shipping for the limited edition. >_<

*sniff sniff*
Hmm, your pants smells like it’s on fire. hehe
I’m interested to see what comes with the LE. Btw, where do you pre-order your PC games? I can’t really find a shop that sells jp PC games internationally. I’m really looking forward to dishing out 10k yen on the PC ver of My-Hime. -_-”

Thanks sooo much for pointing this out and translating the DCII song… a really catchy song. The characters designs are soooo fantastic *melt* Yume and Nanaka are especially kawaii… argh for that matter, Anzu and Koko are REALLY cute too! Must. resist. buy. game.
Hoping you will review the game too… :)

Btw I believe the DCII theme song is “Aki Yumeshi Kimi to” :)

Yeah, I’ve already seen that.
The title is actually “Da Capo II ~Asaki Yumemishi Kimi to~” (ダ・カーポII~あさきゆめみし君と~) but cdjapan fails at transliteration.
“Asaki Yumemishi” is written in archaic Japanese and came from an old Japanese song “Iroha Uta”. The actual line was:
浅き夢見し酔ひもせすん
which in modern Japanese becomes:
もはや浅い夢も見なくなり、酔うこともなくなった。
I didn’t post this because I figured no one will care. Well, if you can read Japanese, here’s a site that explains the meaning and reading of the song. (Iroha Uta, not DC2 OP…)

Ah thanks for the link! Yeah, the end of the playable demo actually says “Asaki Yumemishi” too.
