Japan: Day Six – Hakone
I was in Hakone (more specifically Hakone Yumoto) yesterday and didn’t get internet access… Hakone has only two things: hotels with onsen and mountains. Just take a look at the pictures.
And for no particular reason, above is a picture of a half-eaten Dorayaki (as seen in Doraemon) and a half-eaten Meronpan (as seen in DearS and Shakugan no Shana)…

It’s actually quite hard to find mixed onsen… not that we tried. *cough*
And meronpan is nothing special… don’t be fooled by anime. >_>

Oh, yeah. I forgot about the melonpan. They are EVERYWHERE in Japan, even in Hakone (yeah, I did went there… :P) There seems to be a Shana craze, that, or I need more trips to Japan every 2-4 years to see the melonpan fad.
Seen your Hakone pics. Nothing beats having a lakeside inn/hotel/B&B, eh?
Out of curiosity, is your hotel/inn/B&B “government-sanctioned”?
