Mai-Otome Zwei press release
The upcoming OVA series Mai-Otome Zwei will be here 24th November. The limited edition Vol.1 will come with a special packaging, a CD with the theme song and a Mai-Otome illustration book. Most of the press release is recycled news, but it does reveal the title of the new theme song.
The story takes place one year after the end of the TV series and Arika is now Mashiro’s full-fledged Meister Otome. The new OP song is “Believe ~eien no kizuna~” performed by Mika Kikuchi (Arika Yumemiya).
All I can say is: WTF happened to Minami!?
P.S. You can preorder the limited edition on Amazon JP for ¥2,000 cheaper than the official retail.

Well, they do this OP for only the first DVD. If the single sales flop, they could always do a new Minami Kuriyabashi one in a jiffy in time for the next DVD.

I have no idea how this OVA will continue the ending of Mai-ZHiME (Otome). Then again… Nina did brainwash that dude (what was his name again…) and all… What I’d like to know is how Nina survived the atmosphere and more about the connection between Mai-HiME and Otome. I also found it funny that the logo for the OVA… the double Z looks almost identical to Double Zeta’s series.

But his name in Mai-HiME is different. It’s Tate. Mai-Otome is Sergey. Really weird. They should have stayed the same names so people don’t get confused, like my older sister.
