Haruhiism Time Capsule Project – Part V
I went out to take pictures today. Please read this if you have no idea what this is all about.
You know what they say about a picture speaking a thousand words… Well, here’s one.
Continue for more pictures.
KKnM: Totally cool store that supplies me with my monthly Comptiq, random handphone straps and Nanaka telephone card. :3 Thanks for letting me take the pictures!
La Tendo: I ordered my PVC Haruhi Bunny from here. This picture didn’t turn out so good… Oh well.
Singapore Management University… Nothing interesting about it. It just happened to be nearby.
I LOVE HARUHI!
Dhoby Ghaut MRT Station. Well, you can’t really see anything since all the station and trains are underground… It’s the thought that counts!
You can see one of these roughly every 10 steps you take in Singapore. Without the Haruhiism logo, sadly.
This is the entrance to the Istana. The President of Singapore lives inside. But since we are a parliamentary democracy (sort of), the President doesn’t actually do anything. He’s like the King of England, except less well-known.
7-Eleven: It’s a store and more! Note the security camera at the top left corner…
Many brave souls were sacrificed in the skirmish against the security guards for the purpose of these two pictures. A minute of silence, please.
Okay fine, there was no one there!
The Singapore River, complete with silly foreign tourists who pay good money for boat rides to look at the haze.
A statue of Sir Thomas Stamford Raffles, the alleged founder of modern Singapore. Pffft, we all know that it was actually Lee Kuan Yew.
Esplanade – Durian Theatre by the Bay. It’s a place for snobby art people like Tsubaki.
The Merlion, a proud national symbol of Singapore. Also, a grotesque fish-lion hybrid. Just think about it. How the hell does that even work?
And that’s all folks! Tune in next time for more sights and sounds more sights of Singapore! :)

Man……Parliament and Istana D=

It seems that a handful of submissions were on alternate faiths (viz. Yukiism and Nagatoism), adulterating the ‘haruhiism’ tag…

A Desuism Time Capsule Project would have been more appropriate it seems…

Lol, thanks for the (virtual) visit of Singapore. :D
You make me want to visit it IRL, maybe the next time I’ll return in China, I’ll make a little detour via Singapore… ^^
October 22nd, 2006 at 12:26 am
You really are a fanatic. Heh.
October 22nd, 2006 at 12:35 am
The logo on the bin is actually an insult to Haruhiism some would say XD
October 22nd, 2006 at 1:56 am
haha loli :D

I think a little more….subtlety would make the effect a lot nicer looking. I mean, holding the haruhiism sign up as you take pictures of scenery is a bit much and kind of destroys what I thought your purpose was. I gathered that you were trying to show how prominent haruhiism was in society by posting those logos everywhere and taking pics of them like someone stuck it there to show their zealot-esque nature. Now, it’s just you taking pics of the haruhiism sign :(

Inspiring. Lovely. Insane. Anti-establishment. Pro-establishment. NEAT.
By the way, did the time capsule people actually accept these? Amazing if they did.
October 22nd, 2006 at 2:52 am
If you didn’t take those off, and someone reports to the newspaper…
Would be an interesting situation if they do a story on it.
October 22nd, 2006 at 5:32 am
Haha, somebody quickly mms to Stomp!
October 22nd, 2006 at 1:59 pm
Makes one wonder what would the government say if that shows up in the newspapers. :|
October 22nd, 2006 at 4:28 pm
noooooooo
you didn’t ask me along to take pictures =(
October 22nd, 2006 at 6:32 pm
Pic at the parliment house owns. Try sticking it one LKY’s car. It would make Mr Brown proud. ;)
October 22nd, 2006 at 10:27 pm
Oh my that’s not something I would gladly leave on unless I want a few million lawsuits against myself for defaming the Singapore Government. You guys just don’t know how serious civil servants are. I mean, hey we’re the kind of people who actually need a campaign to increase romancing trends in Singapore and thus make more babies! And with a straight face too! If you stick one on LKY’s car, be prepared to face the wrath of the Kingdom Repablik of Monarch Lee. >:D
October 25th, 2006 at 2:10 pm
wow… that one with the parliament owns…
October 27th, 2006 at 3:55 pm
Well, the Singapore President doesn’t (technically) live in Istana. Even though that’s what mindless Singaporeans were taught to believe.
Nice pictures though.
October 29th, 2006 at 2:04 pm
I just added a whole bunch, so I won’t list them all. This one is one of my favorite submissions though. =)

wtf is wrong with the ppl in Singapore its as if suzumiya haruhi actually exists and created the world so that she can spread her influence on the ppl in Singapore. That or you, Dark Mirage, put them there. If someone did this in america they would get lynched and then sued and put to jail for vandalism.
