Feena is mine!
Mine! All mine! My Dengeki G’s Festival Vol.6 is here! This issue features Yoake Mae yori Ruri-iro na. Mainly Feena of course. :3
Due to some unfortunate coincidences, I had to collect it from the DHL warehouse. Let’s just say that DHL certainly knows how to keep their operation cost down… Searching for a warehouse in the middle of a run-down industrial district, in the rain without a map and an umbrella, is a lot of trouble for one Amazon order.
So was it worth it? Somewhat I guess.
The magazine comes with a Feena dakimakura cover (which is what everyone wants), a two-sided pencil board and a train pass holder (most useless invention ever). Or should I say that the magazine is really the come-with, since it’s really just nonsense and fluff with the same AkeRuri pictures you have seen 100 billion times before in various magazines.
The pencil board is actually not bad. It has Feena with that new what’s-her-face girl from the PS2 version of AkeRuri on one side.
And the lunar princess herself on the other side. The quality of the pencil board is no different from the bought ones. Then again, pencil boards don’t exactly cost much.
The pass holder is rubbish. Useless. Especially since it’s not even Feena on the design. Lame.
Of course, the dakimakura cover is what everyone is swooning over. And it’s probably worth the list price, even though it’s nowhere near the quality of COSPA products. Then again, it’s ¥7,000 less than a COSPA dakimakura cover.
If you had gotten dakimakura covers from any other magazine bundles before, you should know that the material used for these is pretty shiny and feels very smooth. But the design always looks faded compared to the ones printed on normal cloth material.
Amazon JP still has G’s Festival Vol.6 in stock for ¥1,980 and the item can be shipped internationally. It’s pretty good value for money if you are dying for your next Feena fix.
P.S. I actually finished Really? Really! yesterday after a whole day of non-stop clicking. It’s awesome. But the review will have to wait.

The anime leaves a horrible bitter taste in my tongue.
I have to look at the HCGs every time after I finish watching this to remind myself that it’s a good show.

Eh, sorry, but what I was going to say is somewhat in line with Tsubaki’s, except that I eventually dropeed it…

There are a lot of shows where I think it’s better to be a fan of the character design and artwork than it is to watch the anime. From what I gather, I should add YMYRN to that list. I really like the illustrations I’ve seen for this series.

The Yoakena production team’s objective is to screw up the art in different ways every episode.
That being said, that’s really really a lot of really really nice Feena-sama stuff…. and mm… zettai ryouiki…

Despite its faults, the anime is better than people say. Even just for Nabatame Hitomi’s beautiful way of voicing Feena.
And to say that Yoakena has a “production team” is a bit of a stretch. If you look at the credits, the genga and animation are done by different groups almost every week. That, I believe, is the problem. But there’s no problem at all with the basic art of the show, as your Dengeki haul shows so well.

It’s printed on shiny fabric so bodily liquids can wipe off it easily.

Time to grab my own copy too! And I gotta admit, Really? Really! was really really good.
December 8th, 2006 at 3:24 am
Ha ha. I got this as well, along with the Navel Really? Really! special magazine. Got a nice clock with that one!
And the girl from the PS2 version is Estel isn’t she?
Oh, and I finished Really? Really! a few days ago and wrote a review if anyone is interested. It’s here:
http://www.visual-novels.net
Go to the reviews section and it’s in there. Dark, you can read it and tell me if you agree with me that it’s the best game that Navel has produced so far, and one of the best of the season.
