ES Members Éclair and Lumière were involved in a battle to determine fate of the galaxy and they prevailed in the face of danger. However, years passed and now the galaxy has entered another era of chaos. The general feel of the Kiddy Grade universe remains unchanged and the story takes place after the end of the first series, though the exact time lapsed has not been confirmed yet. The new heroines are “Asukuuru” (resembles Lumière) and “Kufiiyu” (resembles Éclair). Look forward to possible appearances by characters from the first series. The limited edition pilot episode DVD is 7-minute long and cost ¥2,940.
All information taken from Moon Phase Zakki.
The names are direct romanization from Japanese (アスクール and クフィーユ), so they are almost definitely wrong. I tried googling around in French but couldn’t find anything close.
More sci-fi yuri action coming your way soon.

2 940 Japanese yen = 18.7807736 Euro
holy …
Thats about 2,7 Euro per minute ! Woah… If you sum that up to normal film standards … A 120min DVD would cost a whooping 322 euro !!
Or even more.
1minute = 60sec = 60*23,97 frames
So you pay roughly 0,19 cent per drawn picture…
Alter kannich Geld scheißen oder was ?!?!
(sry for rant)
This is a LITTLE bit expensive… deshou?

Okay we got “believed to be Lumiere/Eclair” from moonphase, yet 2ch, mixi, and even beerman are reporting it’s not them at all. I don’t know what to believe anymore, hahah. But all I really care is YAY, more K-G doujinshi on the way ;P

OMG the picture looks so tempting to copy right now my fingers are twitching with excitement! OMFG KG2!!!!
January 7th, 2007 at 11:26 am
Ops. It’s 思わせる instead of 思われる… so it’s more like “resembles” instead of “believed to be”. I shouldn’t translate stuff 2am in the morning.

I find it humerous that they’re no longer working with Gonzo. Though I can’t blame em.
Asread’s animation in Shuffle was pretty nice, I’ve got high hopes for KG2 in that department.
January 11th, 2007 at 4:32 am
Ah, so Asread worked on Shuffle!?
Gotoh worked on one episode of Shuffle! and a few of the other people named above did as well so that makes sense. Most of them have also worked on other Gonzo titles too.

Very disapointing to see Kiidy Grade producers overlook again the greatest flaw in the original series.
‘Character confusion’
As an Éclair devotee…….My suggestion:
Mr Gotoh, take a close look at the original Éclair and Lumiere images… as seen in the first 2/3rds of the series.
You will observe 2 of the most adorable characters ever conceived (oh yes… and you may also remember… it was YOUR brilliant idea to introduce them in this form).
Now, after some careful study…. you will become familiar with how they originally looked. One thing you will notice is, Eclair has lovely red hair and amazing amber eyes, yes?
She wears a cute little dress with a cheeky upside down cross with matching boots…. yes?
Now, after familiarizing yourself as to what what Éclair and Lumiere actually look like….. please, un-confuse yourself…. and your fans…. and arrange to re-draw our girls to original specifications and speedily return them to us.
You can call it it KG-2 or even the ‘Continuing Adventures of Eclair and Lumiere’…. I dont care….. just make them look like themselves again….. please?????

Al: Gotoh didn’t design the characters, they were created by Megumi Kadonosono. One of the show’s main features was that they were brave enough to change the designs of the main characters halfway through. Personally I prefer the epilogue version of Lumiere and.. probably the chibi 0318ver. of Eclair.
As a bit of trivia, in the very early character designs from 1999 Lumiere’s design was actually indentical to the SC0163 version (seen in episode 13). Her Eclair has essentially the same colour scheme but different hairstyle (think Nanoha from StrikerS but with the ponytail on the other side) and clothes.
