It is, but kanji readings can be specifically altered for poetic effects, such as reading å®‡å® as "sora", é‹å‘½ as "sadame", or å‡¦å¥³ã¯ãŠå§‰ã•ã¾ã«æ‹ã—ã¦ã‚‹ as "otome wa boku ni koishiteru"...... æ°¸ä¹… is usually read as "eikyuu" anyway, like how æ˜Žæ—¥ is usually "ashita" unless indicated as "asu".
