Your Gundam 00 post holds the distinction of being the most irrelevant and poorly-written stance about the series. Your arrogance and delusional belief that your opinion somehow merited any weight at all was sorely mistaken: better minds than yours have precisely identified what about Gundam 00's second season continued to keep it politically relevant. If anything, your so-called "blasphemous rant" lacks authenticity and was written as an afterthought, lacking any maturity and relevance to readers of the time. Better minds have, for the lack of a better word, taken you to school regarding Gundam 00. You clearly do not understand warfare, or the geopolitical paradigms of the real world in spite of your suggestion otherwise, and behind that impressive-sounding vocabulary is a simple reality: you understand nothing but otherwise create a false impression that you were knowledgable, when in fact, you are not. Of course, you are, by all means entitled to your opinion, but what warranted this response was your condescending attitude, which speaks very poorly about your character:

Relax guys. G00 is not going to suck just because I say that it sucks. It will suck on its own merits. There’s no need to argue about it on this blog because I am not the authoritative voice on anything. :)

Passive-aggressive self-deprecating humour is arrogance and stupidity at its best. You have nothing to offer regarding anime discussion in general owing to not the conclusions you reached, but because of your poor attitude. Furthermore, it seems your ego is a fragile one: after a handful of people disagreed with you, you subsequently proceeded to create a host of fake comments agreeing with yourself. Until you take down this abomination of a blog claiming itself to be a useful resource and save yourself the hosting fees, I will content myself knowing that at the very least, I've linked to a proper blogger who knows what they're doing. As for the few sycophants in the comments section who weren't Dark Mirage sock-puppetting himself, I challenge the lot of you to read the other blogger I've linked to and see whether they, or Dark Mirage, demonstrates a superior understanding of politics and society in general.

To be honest, I actually liked Gundam 00 a lot. And no, it’s not because I’m a yaoi fangirl (I mean, I am one, but I pinky promise that there were no headcanon shippings made over the course of this series). Given, it’s probably because I’m an emotional trainwreck who would likely start crying if I saw a kid ripping the wings off of a bug, but I got really emotionally invested in this series. Lockon was the character that really got rivers of salt flowing from my face. He was kinda always that chill, friendly guy that never lost his sense of humour (also I feel bad for Lockon #2 Lyle Dylandy, who was basically forced to deal with all of his brother’s gay and not-gay lovers jumping him).

Admittedly, the story’s pace /was/ quite rushed, but I have the self-admitted attention span of a walnut. It’s usually hard for me to stick with series that drag on and on for eternities, so I didn’t mind it too much. The character back stories did feel somewhat tacked on, but it all fit, and I feel they accurately displayed the condition of the Earth’s political state during their time.

I admit that I am probably somewhat biased by nostalgia glasses, since this was the first anime that I watched in which the main forces fighting each other weren’t divided into “good guys” and “bad guys”. Nostalgia glasses be damned, I loved this series. I’m not gonna get all pissy because someone else has a differing opinion, though; I love your sense of humour and reading your reviews is genuinely entertaining. Keep up the good work! :)

However it’s not a complete travesty due your lack of taste, Destiny is easily the worst gundam series ever, and your argument of lack of human touch against 00’s quality fails to acknowledge it’s tremendous strengths which puts it far above Destiny. Also your insult on Gundam fans and the series yet watching 15 series of it puts you in the same class of hypocrisy as you pointed to the poster who hates this blog yet continues to post in it. I do thank you for the mildly amusing reviews even if they were done in a nostalgiafag elitist manner.

NOOOOOOO!!! i thought u were joking DM! i really enjoyed the gundam 00 and code geass posts here, the reviews i think were very enjoyable to read, and for some reason i am not bothered about whether i agree, perhaps its beacuse i only watch anime to pass time, who knows?
As i have said before, this blog is very enjoyable to read, it is in the end, a bit of fun and only one persons opinion, just like Tasaio have said i dont think there is any need to get upset over it. but i do have to admit, the arguments people post on this blog are very interesting in both G00 and CGR2, and it is also what makes this blog so good to read and pass time

gonna miss reading the G00 posts :(

I find DM’s reviews very fun and interesting, regardless if I agree with him or not (which I do, in this case).

I have no idea why people get so upset over someone not liking the show on his blog.
