I scored 335/400 overall with the breakdown as follows:
Vocabulary: 69/100
Listening: 90/100
Reading & Grammar: 176/200

I was 8 points short of my goal of 343. For the record, I scored 381 for JLPT 3 in 2004 and 362 for JLPT 2 in 2005. I did quite badly for the vocabulary section. I guess this is what I get for being too lazy to memorize kanji.

So, how did everyone else do?

Like any Singaporean who has taken the test before would tell you, it all begins at Tanah Merah MRT Station…

Here is where you wait for SBS service no.2, the ONLY bus that goes to the Singapore Japanese School which is located in the middle of nowhere.

The end is close. This will hopefully be the last JLPT paper that I will ever have to take in my life. Never again will I have to travel to that god forsaken school located in the middle of nowhere to suffer for hours, enduring freezing coldness and uncomfortably small chairs.

Yup, I just received my JLPT notification. The test venue is Japanese School (Changi Campus) yet again. Looks like I will never get a chance to take the test in one of the more easily accessible alternative test sites. Maybe it’s just destiny.

So, who else is awaiting the arrival of December 3rd? :P

I also received a notice from Kinokuniya that my order for Rosario + Vampire Vol.5 has arrived, but I don’t have time to go pick it up… Noooooo… D: Chemistry test tomorrow on qualititive analysis and I still can’t memorize the solubility of salts. Blegh.

On another note, Kinokuniya is having a 20% sale. Maybe I should get the limited edition of NHK ni Youkoso! Vol. 4. I’ve overspent this month as usual. There’s still my Gundam SEED Heroine Vol. 6 figurine order that I have yet to collect…

I got assigned to the text centre at Changi again. That’s on the other side of Singapore mainland from where I live. Goddamnit, the other two test locations would have been so much more convenient. the Japanese School at Changi also has very tiny desks and chairs designed for primary school kids. Plus it’s located in front of a relatively narrow road that always gets so jammed that you can walk faster than the cars move. Oh, cruel fate!

On another note, I noticed that the mobile phone store at Burlington Square has the new Sony Ericsson W550 Walkman Phone on sale. Man, it’s much smaller than I had thought, about 1/5 to 1/4 smaller than the W800.

But knowing the prices that this store sells import phones at, I didn’t even bother asking.
