Okay, so Kadokawa USA decided to skip the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.asosbrigade.com\/cms\/content\/view\/32\/34\/\">pre-license tease<\/a> and get straight to the announcement this time. The R1 release of <strong>Suzumiya Haruhi no Yuuutsu<\/strong> Vol.4 contained a short translated clip from <strong>Lucky Star<\/strong> episode 16.<\/p>\n<p class=\"caption\"><img src='http:\/\/www.darkmirage.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2007\/10\/28_lucky_star.jpg' alt='Lucky Star' style=\"width:400px; height:300px;\" \/><\/p>\n<p>I haven&#8217;t received my Haruhi Vol.4 DVD yet, so I don&#8217;t know if there&#8217;s anything else in there. But long story short, Lucky Star is licensed. How many anime fans in America have actually heard of <a href=\"http:\/\/www.animate.co.jp\/\">Animate<\/a>&#8216;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.animate-world.com\/tenchou.htm\"><em>tenchou<\/em><\/a>?<\/p>\n<p>And slightly off-topic, I really hate what Bandai did to the limited edition R1 releases for Haruhi. The DVDs come with way too much useless crap and the thin cardboard box feels cheap. I would gladly do without the Haruhi hair ribbon and other miscellaneous trinkets in exchange for cooler-looking and more durable DVD packagings.
