If Sega doesn’t announce the game in E3 then I think they’ve completely abandoned the Valkyria Chronicles series for the US market.

Turrets and pillboxes are super easy to deal with. Just equip your utility vehicle with a flamethrower. You can destroy them in one hit from the front.

I loved the original PS3 Valkyria Chronicles and it’s great to see that the latest release isn’t a disappointment. I’m just curious as to why the Japanese market responds better to the series on the PSP than on the PS3, is it purely preference? Anyways, I hope this game gets localized soon for all the Western fans out there since it’ll be such a waste if this doesn’t get released in English.

Thanks for the review. I didn’t pick up VC3 because I haven’t actually completed VC2. I agree that the small rooms can make for tedious gameplay, and, in VC2, the abundance of turrets and pillboxes can make the experience a bit frustrating in the later stages.

I do hope that Sega will bring the series to the NGP and bring back the open level design of the original VC.
