In addition to whatever was announced during the first press conference, the final details for Anime Festival Asia 09 was released this Wednesday (or last Wednesday depending on your <a href=\"http:\/\/www.weiqigao.com\/blog\/2005\/08\/09\/when_is_next_tuesday.html\">preferred usage<\/a>) during a blogging conference (hurray new media?). Being really short on free time these days, it naturally took me three whole days to write this post. You know you are getting old when you no longer care about <a href=\"http:\/\/www.neatorama.com\/2007\/04\/05\/first\/\">first post<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Refer to my <a href=\"http:\/\/www.darkmirage.com\/2009\/09\/01\/anime-festival-asia-09-press-conference\/\">previous post<\/a> for the prior announcements. The new details are as summarized below:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>&#8220;Live&#8221; performance by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.darkmirage.com\/2007\/11\/01\/vocaloid2-hatsune-miku\/\">Hatsune Miku<\/a>. You can see how it will look like <a href=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=Zx1U3h6-iDc\">here<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>Live dubbing by <a href=\"http:\/\/www.darkmirage.com\/2009\/04\/28\/k-on\/\"><strong>K-ON!<\/strong><\/a> seiyuus<\/li>\n<li>Showcases by <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Tatsunoko_Production\">Tatsunoko Productions<\/a> and <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Madhouse_%28company%29\">MADHOUSE Studio<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.cospa.com\/\">COSPA<\/a> retail presence<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.animeraku.com\/2009\/01\/wei-schwarz.html\">Wei\u00ce\u00b2 Schwarz<\/a> Grand Prix (it&#8217;s a moe anime TCG game)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In addition, the anime song performances will be split between the two days of the event, with Ichirou Mizuki, Shoko Nakagawa and Hatsune Miku on day one and Yoshiki Fukuyama and May\u00e2\u20ac\u2122n on day two. The concert tickets are priced at <strong>S$188<\/strong> for two days and <strong>S$108<\/strong> for one day. You can also purchase regular entry tickets to the event for <strong>S$15<\/strong> for one day or <strong>S$25<\/strong> for two.<\/p>\n<p>I think the most interesting thing to me is probably the joint performance by <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Yoshiki_Fukuyama\">Yoshiki Fukuyama<\/a> (who performed as Basara, the lead singer of <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Fire_Bomber\">FIRE BOMBER<\/a>, in Macross 7) and May&#8217;n (who performed <a href=\"http:\/\/www.darkmirage.com\/2008\/07\/25\/macross-frontier-new-ending-northern-cross\/\">Sheryl Nome&#8217;s songs<\/a> in Macross Frontier).<\/p>\n<p>Think about it: quite a few of FIRE BOMBER&#8217;s songs are duets. The AFA organizers aren&#8217;t wiling to confirm anything, but it&#8217;s not inconceivable for May&#8217;n to assume the role of Mylene and perform a few classic Macross 7 pieces with the great Basara himself. That&#8217;d be awesome. If it happens anyway. Planet Dance!<\/p>\n<p>Still, the ticket prices have gone up this year. Since I have effectively zero income right now and still have an expensive college education to save up for, choices will have to be made with the utmost prudence.
