Well, you can&#8217;t really see anything since all the station and trains are underground&#8230; It&#8217;s the thought that counts!<\/p>\n<p class=\"caption\"><img src=\"http:\/\/www.darkmirage.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2006\/10\/21_bin.jpg\" alt=\"Rubbish Bin\" style=\"width:300px; height:400px;\" \/><\/p>\n<p>You can see one of these roughly every 10 steps you take in Singapore. Without the Haruhiism logo, sadly.<\/p>\n<p class=\"caption\"><img src=\"http:\/\/www.darkmirage.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2006\/10\/21_istana.jpg\" alt=\"Istana\" style=\"width:400px; height:300px;\" \/><\/p>\n<p>This is the entrance to the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.istana.gov.sg\/\">Istana<\/a>. The President of Singapore lives inside. But since we are a parliamentary democracy (sort of), the President doesn&#8217;t actually do anything. He&#8217;s like the King of England, except less well-known.<\/p>\n<p class=\"caption\"><img src=\"http:\/\/www.darkmirage.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2006\/10\/21_711.jpg\" alt=\"711\" style=\"width:400px; height:300px;\" \/><\/p>\n<p>7-Eleven: It&#8217;s a store and more! Note the security camera at the top left corner&#8230;<\/p>\n<p class=\"caption\"><img src=\"http:\/\/www.darkmirage.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2006\/10\/21_parliament.jpg\" alt=\"Parliament\" style=\"width:400px; height:300px;\" \/><img src=\"http:\/\/www.darkmirage.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2006\/10\/21_security.jpg\" alt=\"Security Checkpoint\" style=\"width:400px; height:300px;\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Many brave souls were sacrificed in the skirmish against the security guards for the purpose of these two pictures. A minute of silence, please.<\/p>\n<p>Okay fine, there was no one there!<\/p>\n<p class=\"caption\"><img src=\"http:\/\/www.darkmirage.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2006\/10\/21_river1.jpg\" alt=\"Singapore River\" style=\"width:400px; height:300px;\" \/><img src=\"http:\/\/www.darkmirage.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2006\/10\/21_river2.jpg\" alt=\"Singapore River\" style=\"width:400px; height:300px;\" \/><img src=\"http:\/\/www.darkmirage.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2006\/10\/21_river3.jpg\" alt=\"Singapore River\" style=\"width:400px; height:300px;\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The Singapore River, complete with silly foreign tourists who pay good money for boat rides to look at the haze.<\/p>\n<p class=\"caption\"><img src=\"http:\/\/www.darkmirage.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2006\/10\/21_raffles.jpg\" alt=\"Stamford Raffles\" style=\"width:300px; height:400px;\" \/><\/p>\n<p>A statue of <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Stamford_Raffles\">Sir Thomas Stamford Raffles<\/a>, the alleged founder of modern Singapore. Pffft, we all know that it was actually Lee Kuan Yew.<\/p>\n<p class=\"caption\"><img src=\"http:\/\/www.darkmirage.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2006\/10\/21_esplanade.jpg\" alt=\"Esplanade\" style=\"width:400px; height:300px;\" \/><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.esplanade.com\/\">Esplanade &#8211; <strike>Durian<\/strike> Theatre by the Bay<\/a>. It&#8217;s a place for snobby art people like Tsubaki.<\/p>\n<p class=\"caption\"><img src=\"http:\/\/www.darkmirage.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2006\/10\/21_merlion.jpg\" alt=\"Merlion\" style=\"width:300px; height:400px;\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Merlion\">Merlion<\/a>, a proud national symbol of Singapore. Also, a grotesque fish-lion hybrid. Just think about it. How the hell does that even work?<\/p>\n<p>And that&#8217;s all folks!
