The Haruhiism Time Capsule Project – Part III

Now that my first wave of submission has been accepted, it’s time to get serious. Fellow Haruhiists, your time has come. We are going to make Haruhiism last for eternity! Again, please read my previous two entires here and here if you have no idea what I am talking about.

The timer on the official Yahoo Time Capsule website shows that we have 27 days left to do this thing.

Here’s what you have to do to show your support for Haruhiism:

Preparation

Download this Haruhiism logo.

Print it out onto one single piece of A4 paper. Laminate it if you want.

Bring a camera, some tape and scissors and the printout along with you and walk around any location you want.

Take pictures of various places and stick the Haruhiism logo somewhere that is easily visible, but try not to make it the obvious focus of the picture. Please try to ensure that your locations fall into one of the ten broad themes prescribed by Yahoo Time Capsule project: Love, Anger, Fun, Sorrow, Faith, Beauty, Past, Now, Hope, You. This should be pretty easily done since the categories are really broad.

Ignore the stares of the passer-bys. Alternatively, try to convert them at your peril. (I shall salute you)

Submission

Proceed to the nearest computer with the pictures in hand. I chose my school’s computer lab for this purpose out of convenience and lack of time. (Shhh…)

Open up your preferred image-editing software (preferably Photoshop!) and resize the photos to about 1024 x 768. Do some touch-ups with the contrast etc. if required.

Load up Firefox (or Opera) and proceed to:

Internet Explorer users are banned from Haruhiism. You heathens!

Click on “Contribute” in the navigation bar at the top right.

Contribute

Login to your Yahoo account if requested. Register if you don’t have one.

Select “Picture” and then pick an appropriate theme for your submission. Extra Haruhiism Points for “Faith”!

Themes

Select the picture you wish to upload and fill in the details in the next page.

Description

Try not to draw attention to the Haruhiism logo in your description. Say some like “This is a picture of my room.” You can choose to enter some personal details such as your age, gender and location at the left-hand side of the form.

Enter the URL for this post for “Related Web Site Address” if you wish. This is completely optional, but it does give people who stumble upon the picture by random an explanation for the logo.
Alternatively, please link to:

Enter “haruhiism” for the tag.

Select a charity to support. I recommend “Seeds of Peace” or “UNICEF”.

Check through your submission and submit away!

Post-submission

Wait for an approval e-mail. This usually takes only a few minutes, but my original submission for the logo took 14 hours to be approved.

Post the link here so that we can keep a count!

ALL HAIL HARUHI-SAMA! Let’s aim for at least 100 Haruhiism logos before the submission deadline in 27 days.

Spread the message today!

    Gao. I just took my first two common test papers today. More to go next week.

    I’ll be going around the city to take more pictures after my papers are all over, which is probably next Saturday or Sunday. More confirmations soon.

    Or you could join tjhan on his figurine photoshoot. As he takes multiples angle shots of his figurines, you go around the area Haruhi-fying everything. Or if you’re cunning enough you can get the Haruhiism picture into tjhan’s figurine review photos.

    Hmmm RJC ehz… im going back to ACJC 2dae to take some shots. Expect them to be up soon! MUAHAH.. ok i AM in the godamn army now but I still have my ACJC shirts… and i got my hair back already.

    I’ll also be visiting Chinese Garden on my way to Jurong Point to pick up my Haruhiism shirt. ;)

    more to come. Coincidentally, i couldnt type my message for the time capsule in japanese. anyone know how to do that? I tried and although the fonts showed up, they kept disappearing everytime i hit the enter button lol

    I think we might need more than just the Haruhi logo posted around. If you were someone from the future, and knows nothing about Haruhi (which is kinda sad ^^), what can you possibly know from the logo? (except the silhouette and the name.)

    We need more explanations or something. Besides, the logo by itself was approved, so maybe you can post a pic of the entire SOS-Dan on the time capsule.
