Alright, it’s confirmed. I’ll be in Japan from the 6th to 16th with Pear. Going to collect the plane tickets from the travel agency later. Wai~~
I barely managed to gather just enough money (I hope). Probably going to have to control my spending there… lol. Anyway if anyone happens to be in the area and wants to meet up or anything, drop me an e-mail at nadesico [at] gmail [dot] com.
I’ll be staying at a cheapskate hotel in Ikebukuro. I think we should be spending at least 5 days in Tokyo. Not sure about the rest of the days… (fear our lack of planning). Maybe Osaka or Kyoto if possible. No idea how to get there or what to do after getting there, though. ã¾ãã€ãªã‚“ã¨ã‹ãªã‚‹ã ã‚ã†â€¦ãŸã¶ã‚“。
If anyone needs me to get anything while I’m there, please note:
- You must be in Singapore.
- Contact me through the e-mail address above (or SMS if you have my number) by Saturday.
- Pass me the money by Monday (or deposit it into my bank account).
On another note, my copy of D.C. II is finally here! I missed the delivery on Monday. :( Well, I’m almost done with the game by now… Just Otome left to go.
Update: My flight has been postponed to the morning of the 9th (Friday), so you still have some time left to pass me the money… Sigh… I should be in Ikebukuro by now, but nooooo… Thanks to a certain somebody.
Depends on what you mean by “done” -_-
Damn! The day your leaving happens to be my birthday! Hmm.. Just wondering. How do we know how much to give you exactly and how do we do if the thing is actually sold there? I would like to get some stuffs since you’re there. =)
lol paper… sorry i can go with u guys if u go outside æ±äº¬
since i still school right now >.
muhahaha , why not delay 1 more week … go from 16-26… remember… summer days …
So, you’ve finally succumbed to your inner otaku, eh?
Nevermind, I’ve been there (it was only last Sunday I’ve returned from Japan). I’ll tell you this:
Be prepared to tear you hair out. The mere sight of TONS upon TONS of anime DVDs, manga, Gundam models, figurines, PC & console games and anime/JPop music soundtracks will probably kill you in an instant. (I know the feeling, it’s terrible!)

You don’t need to go AT Akihabara only: other parts of Tokyo (even in your area of residence) sells anime-related goods. You can try the first link I gave you to check it out.
Just remember: If you ever feel like tearing your hair out, just go out of the shop (or go to a nearby toilet), scream all you want, take a coffee break, then shop some more. :P
Almost finished with D.C.II? Darn, and I was going to request you to make a weblog about your “experiences” with the game, just like bluemist and his ToHeart 2 log. -_-
LOL, Shia. So there\’s no hot/cute girls to gaze at in Singapore, then? O:
I\’d like to visit Japan too but not too confident about my JP speaking abilities… Anyway, have fun there and be sure to take some pics for your blog readers, DM XD
TP:
Well, I’ve already been to Japan and I know the layout of Akiba and Ikebukuro (at least the important areas) almost by heart. <_<
Anyway, I thought the CuSO4 page was supposed to be a trade secret… at least that’s what the guy who pm’ed it to me on the MegaTokyo forums said…… rofl
Are you not going together with kwok?
Be sure to get some public bath action.
He’s going too late. My holidays will be over by then.
If you really wanna be cheap, go google up New Koyo. Stayed there while I was over there in April. Cheap at 2,700 and you can walk to Akihabara. Takes about half an hour but it’s a good test of your map reading.
As for lack of knowledge of the Japanese language, the only phrase you need to know is ‘ doku des ka’. XD That’s all I mostly survived on during my two days over there.
Well I guess that might come in handy in case someone tries to poison your food… >_>
rofl @ last comment
haha have fun in japan!
If you’re planning on going out of Tokyo to >1 destination, it’s much cheaper to get a JR Rail Pass. You’ll have to get it before going to Japan as they don’t sell them there (only overseas, for foreigners)
Nab some Touhou games. That’s all I ask of you. Not for me, but for you.
LOL @ Doku desuka?. Truly a funny joke.
Little question for the Da Capo’s fans: Who did the artwork for D.C. II? Naru Nanao or someone else?
Someone else, I think (I read somewhere that CIRCUS didn’t have Naru Nanao this time, for avarious reasons; I can be wrong, though).
Nanao Naru left sometime after D.C.W.S.,the in-charge this time is Tanihara Natsuki.
Ah, you’re very lucky…if you can go anywhere outside of Tokyo, I can’t recommend Kyoto highly enough. Kyoto’s a good look at old Japan, with countless thousand-year old temples and shrines and some incredible scenery. There’s a tourist office in Kyoto Station with maps, the biggest tourist attractions are probably Kinkakuji (the Golden Pavilion) and Kiyomizu, but there are lots of other smaller places worth visiting there too. The Philosopher’s Path is a cool walk, starting at the Silver Pavilion (Ginkakuji) and ending up down around Nanzenji–it’s known for sakura in springtime, but it’s probably still good this time of year and you go by a lot of different temples on the way. Anyway, I’m jealous, I don’t get to go back to Japan until November–hope you have a great time ^_^;
Good luck on your trip!!! *Hoping for Saber Plushies to come back*
