Well, the HK website e2046 has just started taking preorders for a recast of it today.
These are unbuilt resin kits recasted from the original. It’s probably going to take many days/weeks of work to get it anywhere near the original creator’s finished sample, but hey, at least now you don’t have to pay 50,000 yen on Yahoo Auctions for the original kit only to mess it up…

In fact, for 50,000 yen (400+ USD), you can order ten of those recasts and keep trying until you get it right. :3

That model also looks like she’s 15. Which means she’s Haruhi’s age… and which also means she’s jailbait. :P

I’m pretty sure I saw a pretty similar COMPLETED figure (w/fishnet stockings) on eBay from $50 to $70 which I would probably buy, instead. Factoring in that I wouldn’t need to buy paint or glue, spend hours upon hours assembling, or clean up shattered pieces of resin (and dreams) from clumsiness and the result of frustration over my own ineptitude, I should actually come out ahead.
Also just realized the actual year of this post, instead of just looking at the month and day. Epic brainfart.
